Check In / Check Out

Yay!  It’s time to CHECK IN for your vacay!

Our office is located in the heart of downtown PPB at 421 River Avenue, Point Pleasant Beach, NJ 08742.  The phone number is 732-475-6691. 

Check-In

  • Check-in time is 2:00 PM (unless otherwise noted in your lease) at our office. Please don’t try to check in early. We get it. It’s vacation! However, the homeowners need time to prepare your home and spruce it up for you! The other folks just checked out. You’ll be doing that as well so please be patient. 
  • If you are going to arrive later than 4 p.m., please let us know.  We will make arrangements to get you whatever you need to check in, but we can’t guarantee that we’ll still be at the office. 
  • Yes, you can send someone else to check in.  We’ll need their information to do so, but we’re happy to accommodate. 
  • We will give you keys, codes, beach badges (when applicable), parking passes, and any other important information you need to start your vacation. 
  • You’ll sign a confirmation in the office confirming that you’ve received all of the stuff mentioned, so we all know what you need to return after your rental period.
  • Ask us any questions about where to eat, what to do, and what are our favorite spots for ice cream! If you’ve been here before, tell us your faves!
  • Smile.
  • Thank us. We’ll thank you too.
  • Leave the office. Hold the door open if anyone else is coming in. Feels good, right?
  • Drive, walk, bike (ask us about this while you’re here!) over to your new vacation home. 
  • Check out your new spot. Make notes on any damage you may find in your rental. EMAIL US IMMEDIATELY TO NOTIFY US OF THE DAMAGE. This is important! You’re basically letting us know if anything isn’t right and we’ll let the owners know. This is a protection for you so you don’t get charged for any damage that already exists when you arrive. A cracked mirror, a stain on the rug, a ripped screen. Take a pic and send it to us.
  • Get the Damage Report back to us ASAP. If you bring it to us when you’re checking out, there’s no way to know when the damage happened. We trust you, but let’s eliminate any doubt by returning the Damage Report ASAP. 
  • Relax. Unpack. Chill out. Enjoy your time here!! See you when you leave (but we don’t want to think about that right now).

Check-Out 

When you leave (sadly referred to as CHECK-OUT)

  • Say goodbye to your rental home. It might be sad too.
  • Make sure to be completely out of the house by 10 a.m. 
  • Leave the place as you found it. This seems simple, but too often it’s not. 
  • Double-check you have all your stuff. Check the closets, drawers, fridge, dryer, and the yard. 
  • Are all the dishes washed?  Is the grill clean?
  • Please make sure to empty the fridge & freezer.  You will be charged for any extra garbage removal that the housekeepers need to do. 
  • Did you leave any chargers plugged in? 
  • Make sure the furniture is where you found it. We hope you didn’t move their stuff around too much but if you did, return it to where you found it.
  • If there’s any garbage left, please bag it up and put it outside. If there is excess, it should be removed from the home.  The Recycling Center is located behind the train station on Cooks Avenue. You can drop by there on your way out of town. 
  • Turn off any lights or fans. Courtesy is a positive way to leave this space. Feels good, doesn’t it? Even though you don’t want to go, leaving some positive vibes makes it easier to move on.
  • Lock the doors. Shut the windows. 
  • Remember that stuff you picked up at our office when your adventure began? Please bring it all back to us. Keys, Badges, Parking Passes, etc. 
  • Come back to our office. If you leave early. Beat the traffic. Good work! Drop the stuff in our drop slot on our front door. Email us and let us know if you plan to rent again.
  • If you get back to our office and we are there, please come in and say goodbye. We get sad too. We know how it feels. Let us know if you plan on coming back.
